Farringdon Records

I've just found a record in my Beatles collection which I noted I bought at Farringdon Records on 25 March 1981. I don't remember the shop but it must have been the one on Holborn Viaduct which was very near where I was working at that time. The record is an Australian version of the Rarities compilation album with a different track listing and a far better sleeve than the UK version. Maybe Farringdon Records was a good shop for finding import rarities. So sad that most of those little independent record shops in London went to the wall.re to edit.

In those days I used to be meticulous about noting when and where I bought each record - and number them in my collection. That's before my record collecting got out of control!
