Godfreys 

(April 12, 2015)I remember a shop in East walk Basildon called Godfreys,was a really big shop downstairs they sold hifis and tvs really top range stuff too,i brought a portable tv out of their on hp in 1978 black white of course they had amazing window displays my mate brought life size gene simmons kiss cut out of them ,they had records upstairs remember a headphone stand demo phones and played supertramp crime century others doubled as listening station/booth they are now a Halifax bank,i used to clean their windows in 1979,in early mornings,they sold everything weren't cheapest,like say downtowns but spent large chunk life in there. David Malone
