Owned and run by Bev Bevan of The Move! and Electric Light Orchestra fame, the shop was located in Sparkhil

I used to work as a rep for Polydor records calling on all the record stores in the Birmingham area.One day I called on Heavyhead and a guy sitting at the counter eating his sandwiches said “I almost signed for your label” Isaid “who are you” he said “Jasper Carrott” I said “with a name like that you have no chance” What do I know.  Comment: Pete Waugh.
