In 1965, Andy Gray opened Andys Records and set up a market stall in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Year by year he opened up more shops. Andy's Records prided themselves on having enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff. In 1987 he started the BGO label, together with Mike Gott, based in Bury St Edmunds.

Comment: I bought many a gem from both the old Andy's shops in Peterborough. They have a great second-hand department downstairs and I picked up many a gem.

I found this in the 'Bury Free Press' dated 17th June 1977:
“WANTED for cash and/or part exchange. All your unwanted LPs and singles — Andy's Records, 67 St. John's Street, Bury. Tel. 67502.”
