In the real shop, we’ve had an overdue reshuffle that gave the record shop 50% more space. Space for more reggae, more rock and pop, jazz, loads of soul and a huge disco section. The blues section currently has a wealth of early recordings from names you’ve heard of and hopefully some you’ve not.We have dance music of all genres, in modest quantities. But we just got in a load of deep house which is worth a trawl through…
Reggae reggae reggae… lots of reggae, ska, lovers rock and so on… with new 7″ reggae coming in almost daily at the moment. Come and browse over a coffee.
The folk section is coming along nicely and there’s a few world music treats, and a small but nicely formed Classical section.
And, just added and building fast is the leather and stud covered Heavy Metal section…
As well as music there’s now a large spoken word section full of really interesting recordings such as Vivian Stanshall, comedy and a good sized box of records that cant find any other home – obscure field recordings of trains, birds and so on.
