I found this advert in the 'Gloucester Citizen' dated 13th January 1932:
“THE BON MARCHE SALE Commences Friday (Next), Jan 15th. DIRECT STAIRCASE from NORTHGATE ARCADE TO BASEMENT BAZAAR AND ALL HOUSEHOLD DEPTS. DIRECT ENTRANCE from NORTHGATE ARCADE TO ENLARGED DEPTS. FOR MEN'S & BOY'S OUTFITS. The Bon Marche (Gloucester) Ltd.”
... and this in the 23rd May 1936 edition:
“Bon Marche (Gloucester) Ltd., has vacancies in the Basement Bazaar for Young Ladies with shop experience.—Apply by letter, Managing Director.”
