Boots Watford- They moved to a purpose built huge store on the corner of top end of Market Street- 2 floors with escalator now Nat west bank 2020 as i write- Previously they were in a Victorian building which was demolished and became entrance to Intu previously Harlequin centre-The dome on the entrance is from the old boots store-Boots record dept was a quarter of the 1st floor floorspace -QUITE BIG - was well stocked with new releases and of course fiercly promoting discounted prices of 50p off in competiton to Wh Smith and Close by Woolworths -They use to hav a good back catalogue if i recall but heavily promoted new release as well as singles.
