Cavendish House had a record dept in Regent Street .. I blagged some Genesis " Lamb " promo items from them ... in the Prom , we had W H Smith ... this had a record dept at the back of the store with two or three listening booths .... a few doors along was Universal Stationers ... a similar store but with a record section at the side down a few steps ... this had a couple of " listening rooms " ... they even had doors so you could go in and sit down to listen to the likes of Roxy Music's first album ..... I never forget seeing the first Genesis album in the " Religious " section !
