In 1972, give or take a year, I was trying on jeans in Jean Machine. The staff were preoccupied with the person in the next cubicle. Then she spoke and I recognised the voice – Lulu. Bet she buys classier clothes these days!

I found this notice in the 'Fulham Chronicle' dated 9th August 1985:
