I found an advert in the ‘Dundee Courier’ dated 27th November 1951: “STILL 5,000 RECORDS! AT HALF PRICE! All stocks must be cleared. 6/- records for 3/- All Brand New and Unused, by famous popular artistes. BUY FOR XMAS WHILE STOCKS LAST. J. T. FORBES, LTD. (Corner King's Road), 117 VICTORIA ROAD, DUNDEE.” ... and another in the 30th March 1925 issue: “Latest records always in stock. FORBES, 82 HIGH STREET, LOCHEE.” ... and one in the ‘Montrose Standard’ dated 14th April 1922: “Bagpipe Music. Gramophone Records of Pipe Bands and Solos. J. T. FORBES, 44 KING'S ROAD, DUNDEE.”
