Yeah, all of this has gone now.......how i recall seeing all the members of Napalm Death circa 1988 walking up those stairs in the first picture....samosas from a small cafe at the end of the walkway next to a sex shop ,buying Spacemen 3 albums from " Franks Wild Records", the sheer stench of the place (rotting fruit mixed with exhaust fumes).Such bucolic memories of Olde England

The bags from Frank’s were amazing. I used to take one to school most days. I’d love to find a photo of the old shop…

I found this in the 'Gig Guide' of the 'Birmingham Mail' dated 28th October 1988: “TUESDAY: Frank Sidebottom 4pm PA - Frank's Wild Records, Martin's House, Bull Ring - Frank Sidebottom with Little Frank & The Oh Blimey Big Band.”
… and this post from the forums on birminghamhistory.co.uk at this link:
https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php?threads/record-shops-in-bham.27349/page-4
“Later in the 80's, there were other shops: Frank's Wild Records (opposite the Bull Ring market)”
