I found an article in the ‘Bristol Evening Post’ dated 3rd June 1955: “DICKIE VALENTINE autographed records for the staff when he paid a visit to Messrs F. W. Allen Ltd at The Arcade, Broadmead. Mr Valentine will be visiting Allen’s again tomorrow, when he will autograph records for customers.”
