I found an advert in the ‘Ashbourne Telegraph’ dated 8th April 1955: “A LARGE SELECTION OF POPULAR RECORDS TO SUIT ALL TASTES. GREGORY & LEE, 24 ST. JOHN STREET, ASHBOURNE. Record Tokens make Ideal Gifts.” ... and another one in the 16th March 1956 issue: “Gramophone Records – A COMPLETE RECORD SERVICE. All Makes Stocked. LARGE SELECTION OF POPS. TOP TWENTY ALWAYS UP TO DATE. LONG AND EXTENDED PLAY RECORDS (Popular and Classical). • GREGORY & LEE, 24 ST. JOHN STREET, ASHBOURNE. 'PHONE 517. Special orders obtained with minimum delay.”
