Comment: I worked at Harpers from approximately 1960, when I was 12 years old, until I was approximately 18 years old. It was also an electrical shop, as well as selling children’s toys; it was in fact two shops, one side selling electrical goods, on the other records & toys.

Comment: I worked there in 1964/5. I used to work with a guy called Les and his wife Mary worked in the pram shop further down the road that was called Harpers as well.
