1994 - 1999 - run by the Strutt Brothers
Influential Music Exchange
Run by Kevin Strutt ( and his brother ) aka The Strutt Brothers, Influential Music Exchange Record shop in Bromley ( 1994 - 1999 ) grew from its expanding Greenwich Market hang out base. It sold and exchanged all music genres at fair prices - new and secondhand, soul, jazz, rock, specialising in indie rock from when the scene was at its peak with 'real' buying followers ( Oasis - Blur - Verve ) Likewise, the shop also specialised in hip hop when it was also at its peak, offering USA imports ( A Tribe Called Quest - Pete Rock & CL Smooth - Gang Starr ) + UK rap - hence the name 'Influential' named after 691 Influential Records - an indie hip hop label run by successful artist and rapper Blade. It also stocked many genres of dance / house music with many rare hot promo records for upfront DJs. Simon Strutt (2020)
