I found this article about Northern Soul in the 'Manchester Evening News' dated 15th September 1995: “… The acrobatic dancing has gone really, says Les Hare from Chorlton. The pace of it all has slowed down for obvious reasons. Les got hooked on Northern Soul around 1970. He's been coming to these nights in Heaton Moor since they began, with his wife Clare who, like so many couples here, he met at a soul night when he was his teens. He started buying soul records when he was still at school and now runs his own record shop, King Bee Records, stocking plenty of soul rarities. And he's convinced that it's not just the oldies who are keeping the scene alive.”
