I found this advert in the 'Liverpool Echo' dated 15th December 1977: “Gladys Knight & The Pips '30 Greatest Hits' r.s.p. £4.99 NOW £3.99 * Hundreds of your favourite LP's. Come in and browse around. You're sure to find someone you like. BUDGET TITLES at 99p for a single album and ONLY £1.99 for a double album. * Chart Toppers recommended prices up to £3.99 all for only £2.99. * We've got all the big stars at Littlewoods record shop. The choice is yours. LITTLEWOODS: CHURCH STREET, LIVERPOOL * GRANGE PRECINCT, BIRKENHEAD * SHOPPING CITY, RUNCORN.”
... and this in the 'Daily Mirror' dated 6th February 1982: “Remember our bonus. If you cut out Token 8 in the Big Three Bingo book you can get 25p off any LP record or cassette at Littlewoods record shops.”
