News From Nowhere

I found this article in the 'Anfield & Walton Star' dated 9th March 1989: “BROOKSIDE stars, Annie Miles and Dean Sullivan, cut the ribbon and proclaimed the new Bold Street premises of “News From Nowhere” Bookshop open. “News From Nowhere started as a tiny bookshop in Manchester Street in 1974 and moved three years later to Whitechapel. The shop stocks a wide range of radical literature such as Anti-Apartheid literature anti-racist and anti-sexist children’s books. In 1981 the shop became a women’s collective and in 1984 registered as a Workers’ Co-operative.”
