I found this piece in the 'Sunday Sun (Newcastle)' dated 9th October 1994: “I can’t be bothered with people who want records just because they’re rare,” says Frank Allan, manager of Oldhitz in Newcastle city centre. “It’s so pointless. They might as well collect stamps or crisp packets. Music is for listening to. The reason a lot of stuff is rare is that it didn’t sell and the reason it didn’t sell is that it’s crap!”
