I found a mention of Orbit Records in the ‘Long Eaton Advertiser’ dated 7th October 1999:
“Ian Kerstein is the manager of Orbit Records, 29 High Street, Long Eaton. Telephone: 0115 946 5805.”

I found this article in the ‘Nottingham Recorder’ dated 11th November 1993:
“A NEW record store has opened in Long Eaton offering a wide range of both new and used CDs to suit all tastes. Orbit Records stocks a massive number of new CDs and anything they haven’t got can be ordered and obtained quickly. Store partners David Rose and Clive Miller have vowed to match the cheapest prices of any shop in Long Eaton selling records.”

I am the afore mentioned manager, Ian Kerstein. I worked at Orbit Records from February 1994 to its closure in October, 2001. It was a joy and privilege for all those seven and a half years.
