John Ham, Rowlands Music and Picton Music all sold instruments and sheet music as their first line of business, but also records and tapes. All are now gone. John Ham was the brother of Peter Ham who formed the band Badfinger, a very famous - and tragic - band of the 1960s.

I found this advert in the 'Neath Guardian' dated 28th April 1972: “PICTON MUSIC 9-15 PICTON ARCADE, SWANSEA * TERMS TO SUIT YOU * EXPERT AFTER-SALES SERVICE * LARGEST SELECTION OF ORGANS. Telephone: 55608.”

I loved Picton music used to play in there alot wheb i was a student. Eventually brought a Carlsbro amp and a yamaha SG. Later I did all their advertising when I worked for the South Wales Evening Post. Happy days
