Comment: This is the fondly-remembered Islington branch on Upper Street near the 'Screen On The Green' Cinema. They're still in 30 Berwick Street in Soho (off Oxford Street).
My experience (plus those of my friends) with this shop is the old negative attitude from record shop staff who look down upon you, because in their mind you brought in inferior stuff to trade. They also make comments which are not positive or helpful, as they offer a pittance for something they will mark up. If you have to trade because you want something, then grin and bear it.
Record and Tape Exchange are not much better, depending on who you get.
Very few shops left today, this perhaps a small part of why people shop online. Just be courteous, pleasant without the vibe, you're boring me with your shit trades, approach to customers.
Sister Ray seem to be far more pleasant.

The range of second hand music was obscene (only in central London!), you would find just about anything you wanted if visiting regularly. I hold very fond memories.
