Local to Southend, Essex...think this shop opened in the late 1950s... Recall being transfixed by copy of Bo Diddley LP 'Gunslinger' displayed in the shop's window. They also sold sheet music and books. I bought a copy of John Lennon's characteristically titled: 'In His Own Write'..witticisms, pointed but humorous polemics + very amusing inkpen-style cartoons / artwork)...
