I found this advert in the 'Cleveland Standard' dated 17th March 1950:
“Meet the FAMOUS STARS at SYKES RECORD SHOP 57, NEWPORT ROAD, MIDDLESBROUGH • The Five Smith Brothers (Appearing at the Hippodrome, Stockton, this week) will AUTOGRAPH all their Records and present each lucky buyer with a Souvenir PHOTOGRAPH.” … and this advert in the 2nd February 1951 edition:
“SYKES' for RECORDS 57, NEWPORT ROAD, MIDDLESBROUGH. Finest Selection In Town.” Dave Harwood (2024)
