The Ibis

Remember coming along with my gran and mum, to the Ibis Book shop, in the '70s. They also sold records, mainly classical. It was a "serious" shop, very still, not much fun for kids, obviously. But I did purchase my first records as a kid in Banstead, at Woolworths across the road! Later I bought a compilation at the Ibis, of string instruments from the Middle East, which seemed funky at the time. Paul (2022)
