I found this piece in the 'Burnley Express' dated 13th April 1995: “Major David Palmer, the former owner of The Record Exchange, in Standish Street, Burnley, also devoted his life to the Forces. Maj. Palmer served for nine years in the RAF.”
... and this piece in the 5th November 1999 edition: “I am seeking the whereabouts of ex-Cpl. Raymond Fletcher who, in the mid 1950's, served in the Signal Centre at RAF Negombo, Sri Lanka. Being a Burnley lad by birth, I feel confident he could still be resident in the area. During the 1960's Ray managed the Record Exchange shop in Standish Street.”
