The Spinning Disc

Name: Mike J
Comment: Remember this shop well, used to have those revolving racks outside where all the budget LP sleeves would bend forward with people thumbing them. Used to be open on Christmas Day in the morning, taking everyone's record tokens. Happy days...

“Wendy Scott: I grew up in Edmonton and went to Raynham Road school. On leaving I worked at that Spinning Disc record shop in Fore Street for about 3 years. Does anyone remember that place?”
... and these replies:
“Janet Lobb: Yes, I went to Raynham Road school and used to shop in the Spinning Disc. This would have been in the late fifties.”
“Derek Tilbury: Went there a lot in the middle '60s on a Friday after getting paid.”
“Howard Hawes: I also went to Raynham and remember the Spinning Disc. I used to work in Key Market in Fore Street.”
