I found this advert on page 29 of the 'Ballymena Observer' dated 28th October 1982:
“UNEDA DISC - THE RECORD SHOP THAT CARES. Finest Selection of Country & Top 75 Singles plus all the best Music in N. Ireland. New Releases in stock. All the latest Chart L.P.’s - Over 4,000 Golden Oldies on the shelf. Special Order Service second to none: If we haven't got it, we'll order it! UNEDA DISC - Now AT THE TOWER CENTRE, BALLYMENA.”
… and this article on page 38 of the same issue:
“FRIENDLY, helpful service - that's the motto of Uneda Disc, the record shop with a difference. The difference is that Uneda Disc really cares about the record business, and the fact that the proprietors have, between them, over 30 years’ experience in the trade does not go amiss either. Sammy McMorran started his working life as a message boy for the Symphola record company when he was 15, and by the time he was 24, he was the chief buyer for Solomon and Peres, one of the top record wholesalers in Northern Ireland. Ask Sammy about any record, and nine times out of 10 he will give the answer straight from memory - no mean feat, when you consider the number of records released each week. The other partner in Uneda Disc is George Doherty, one of the top record producers in Ireland. George has been responsible for recording acts like Brendan Quinn, Roly Daniels, Ann Williamson, Frankie McBride and Clubsound.”
