I went to school in Penzance during the 1960s and I think this refers to West Penwith Music Shop or what the locals referred to as Marshall James's. The shop sold sheet music as well as records etc.My parents used to buy records by local brass bands, choirs etc. I seem to remember the shop also sold musical instruments but it was a long time ago.
